The OSA now has its own logo. After quite a bit of deliberation on various designs and subsequent re-designs out came this logo, as the symbol of the Old Students' Association of Mira Model School (a.k.a. Miraites Association). The logo signifies the essence of the prayer we make, mostly unknowingly, to the lord to lead us from the darkness of ignorance to the light filled world of knowledge - तम्सो मा ज्योतिर्गमय: - The school motto. May the myriad hues of our life's journey always be filled with that light.

We are fortunate to be in this era of the internet without which we wouldn't have been able to reach out to and connect with so many of YOU - the school alumni; future members of the Miraites Association. But there are still miles to go, and those miles will surely be scaled. Right now its a good time to share a bit of our past here. While a host of photographs are waiting to greet your eyes, YOU can SHARE old school photographs, that are in your safe-keep, with everyone over here. You can either

  • join the community and share photos there: Join Here

  • or

  • you can email them to miramodel.osa@gmail.com with your name and batch, year of photo, ; and we shall sort them batchwise and upload them on the OSA profile with the contributors' info and some related snippets based on info collected from school. Now this one is a more interesting option, isn't it !

The OSA's own website will also be up in 2-3 days' time. Look out for the 'photos' tab there. Pics contributed by you will also feature in a slideshow on the website.
Happy Sharing!

Mr. Dixit in the foreground, wearing the quintessential bell-bot trousers of that era. In the background is the only school building at that time - the current A block. Classes used to be in tents till the early 1980's. A closer look - the pillars of the buildings - thats where some exhibitions used to be held. It was later converted to what is now the administrative block.
